This week it’s another mixed bag of links (I think we will have a few weeks of mixed before we get back to themed content). There is a bit of everything in this list, from how to fold the best paper Airplane (A personal favourite from this list), to free internet archives, libraries and the history of memes.

Some general updates : The supergoods.today website will be undergoing some changes over the next week - if everything continues to plan. I’ve been a little quiet online while I get the site updated, it might mean that the site is down a few days over this next week, but fear not it will be back and more updates will be released very soon.

Finally, I’ve started to share some other super good inspiration on Instagram every day, so, If you’re interested in finding more people and projects to follow check out the story and the daily picks over on Instagram.

FREE INTERNET LIBRARY

After starting several brands and doing massive amounts of research, we ended up collecting so much information that became incredibly useful to us, and we wanted to create a system to help better distribute what we've got and spread it as far as we could. What started in a small apartment bedroom is now a full-functional studio, and we owe a lot of that to our community and the research we’ve done.

Library Stack is a new kind of archive and lending library: a virtual emulation of received library protocols for collecting, indexing, preserving and sharing. Objects in the collection are held in a durable repository for long-term access and bibliographically cataloged for discovery.

Books on graphic design (and typography) is an independent selection of books on graphic design and typography.

Typography III

Typography III is the culmination of the RISD Graphic Design department’s typography curriculum sequence, with an emphasis on typography and contemporary display platforms. Advances in software and hardware have created new opportunities for how language is written, sequenced, and accessed. Projects in this semester depend on altered states, where the content, composition, and context all are potentially at play. Students will continue to develop proficiency in designing for static compositions while extending the meaning and voice of that work across multiple platforms. Students will have ample opportunity to further shape their perspective and individual voice in relation to contemporary typography.
